FIRST IMPRESSIONS
After taking some information over the phone or email, we schedule a complimentary 30 minute Meet & Greet with potential clients at their home. We meet your pet(s) and take detailed information about their needs. A written estimate is provided so you know exactly how much it will cost. If the walking or sit is a go, we will need 2 set of keys to your house. If you have a security system you will need to show us how to use it. If possible, we’d prefer our own code. We will need a copy of your pets’ vaccination records. A Meet and Greet must be scheduled at least 2 week prior to anticipated need of our services for all new customers. If a Meet & Greet is scheduled and you are a no-show or do not cancel prior to our arrival, you will be billed $30.

PET SITTING – 8am-6pm, 7 days a week
Pet Care

With every visit, we feed your pets and give them fresh water. If their bowls need cleaning we will wash them. We scoop the litter box every day and put the waste in an outside garbage can. Other critters’ bedding will get changed as needed or per your instructions. Any “accidents” will be cleaned up. We will play with your pet, cuddle and pet or brush them, based on your pet’s preferences. Dogs get a walk or let out in an enclosed yard. We will gladly e-mail or text you daily updates and photos.

Built in House Sitting
We will also bring in your mail, newspaper and turn off and on different lights and water your plants. We check all authorized rooms in the house to make sure there is no damage or anything is amiss (or to see if one of your pets left you a “present”). We strive to give you peace of mind about the well-being and comfort of your pets and the safety of your house. You are always free to contact us to check in with your pets and home.

Medications, Special Needs and Requests are no problem!
We have experience administering a variety of medications and treatments to dogs and cats and will do so to the best of our ability and under your instruction, but we stress we are not veterinary professionals. We have experience in insulin injections, pills, topical creams, bottle feeding, and PT. We’ve tended to blind pets, deaf pets, pets with few or no teeth, pets with diapers, dogs with storm anxiety and dogs with wheels. Special needs pets are no problem. Have a special request for your pet? Maybe your cat will only drink from a glass or faucet and likes to sleep on a heating blanket. Perhaps your dog likes to watch TV or to be read to. We’ve had all these requests and more. No additional charge.

Dogs
Dogs need a minimum of 2 visits a day for their well-being. Each visit includes a walk or we will let your dog(s) out in a securely enclosed yard and pick up poop. Any additional time will be spent playing, training, brushing or cuddling. We will discuss what number and length of visits will be best for your pet(s).

Cats
Most cats are fine with a once a day visit, though cats with medical needs or kittens may need a second visit. We scoop the litter box(es) daily and change out the litter as needed. We will discuss the number and length of visits best for your pet(s).

Other Petit Critters
Visit length will depend on the critter and its level of socialization. We will discuss what is appropriate. We do not care for reptiles but will care for birds—including chickens—fish, ferrets, rabbits, mice, hamsters, turtles, etc. We would consider caring for smaller animals in cages or enclosures that are easy to transport in our own home for a reduced rate.

Pet Sitting Rates
We charge for our time, not for the number of animals you have. That said, the greater number of pets you have, the longer it’s going to take us to care of everything. We will discuss what visit length is appropriate for your pets.
15-minute let cat in/out – $20
30-minute – $27
60-minute – $40

DOG WALKING/LET OUT/DROP-IN VISIT – 10am-5pm, Monday-Friday
A walk is included in a dog pet sit visit. But if you feel your dog(s) need additional exercise or potty breaks, you can schedule extra walks or a drop-in visit where we let your dog out in the yard. They are also perfect for when you have to work late, have an after school event, illness/injury, small dogs that can’t hold it all day, or any other reason you can’t walk your pooch.
Need to wear them out? Walks can include vigorous play time including fetch and tug-of-war or a trip to the dog park. We’ll bring them home ready to nap! Exercise is very important to the well being of your dog. And we all know a bored dog is a destructive dog! We don’t do group or pack walks, that is, walk your dog with a bunch of other dogs that are not a part of your family or “pack.”
$27 – 30 minutes
$40 – 60 minutes
$60 – 75 minutes – trip to the dog park

Hurricane Season and Other Emergencies
On any given day, we could be taking care of over 20 animals and it would be impossible for us to take them all with us. We cannot take responsibility for evacuating your pet(s) should a mandatory evacuation be called for while you are away. You should have an evacuation plan with a family member, friend or other pet caregiver. We will coordinate with them should the situation arise. If we do have to evacuate with your pet, there would be a charge of $200 per pet, per day. For every pet we care for, we ask for a local, emergency contact in case of hurricanes or other emergencies. We also will need to know the name of your pets’ veterinarian and a copy of their vaccination records. Please leave carriers out in and easy to access place.

Other possible charges
On days when there are special events near a sit or walk location (ie. parades, sporting events, festival, marathon) an additional fee of $10 per visit may be charged due to additional time needed for travel and parking.

Please have sufficient food and supplies for your pets. If we run out and have to buy more, the cost will be added to the final bill as well as a $20 service fee.
